What is CLIMATIX all about?

Objectives

The project aims to enhance climate risk insurance education with AI-powered risk assessment and advisory tools. It seeks to bridge the skills gap, modernize vocational training, and foster industry collaboration while promoting sustainable climate adaptation strategies. Ultimately, the project will equip insurance professionals with practical, data-driven tools to assess and manage climate-related risks in line with EU priorities.

Implementation:

The project will conduct comprehensive desk research and needs analysis, define core competencies, and develop structured training modules. It will integrate AI tools into an interactive online learning platform. Pilot training sessions and a trainer certification program will be implemented to validate the curriculum, while national workshops and digital dissemination campaigns will engage stakeholders, and increase the visibility and impact of the project.

Results:

Expected outcomes include a robust, industry-aligned digital curriculum, an operational online learning platform with integrated AI functionalities, and a network of certified professionals. The project will achieve broad stakeholder engagement, leading to improved professional capacity in climate risk management. Ultimately, these outputs will drive sustainable, innovative practices in vocational training and contribute to effective climate adaptation across Europe.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Enhancing Climate Risk Insurance Education and Capacity Building: To equip insurance professionals with skills to assess and manage climate risks through specialized digital training.
  2. Fostering Digital and AI-Driven Innovation in VET: To modernize VET through AI-powered learning tools, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
  3. Bridging the Skills Gap and Strengthening Industry Collaboration: To align climate risk insurance training with labour market needs through industry partnerships.
  4. Increasing Accessibility, Inclusivity, and Engagement in VET: To ensure equitable access to training for underrepresented groups and professionals in remote areas.
  5. Strengthening Climate Adaptation and Risk Mitigation Strategies: To provide practical tools for assessing, pricing, and communicating climate-related risks.

Main Deliverables

Widespread Awareness and Adoption:

A robust dissemination strategy will ensure that project outputs—such as the digital curriculum, AI-powered tools, and trainer certification framework—are effectively communicated to and adopted by key stakeholders. This will be demonstrated by high engagement levels in national workshops, social media outreach, and online interactions. As a result, the project will achieve significant visibility across the insurance, VET, and regulatory sectors.

Sustainable and Scalable Integration:

The development of a comprehensive transferability guide will provide clear guidelines for adapting and scaling the project’s innovations across diverse national contexts. This result guarantees that the project's digital solutions are not only implemented in pilot settings but are also sustainable over the long term, enabling widespread integration into existing vocational training frameworks across Europe.

Enhanced Industry Collaboration and Impact:

The combined dissemination and exploitation efforts will foster a collaborative network among industry professionals, educators, and policymakers. This network will support continuous improvements, drive the adoption of best practices, and ultimately contribute to a long-term impact on climate risk insurance education, digital innovation in VET, and the resilience of the insurance sector.
