To move the curriculum into full scale operation, partners will undertake a more extensive survey of the range of potential users. They will explore the learning 'environment': workplaces, timetables, resources and support that are available, and issues and problems that will be encountered when the course is fully operational. The aim will be for it to be accessible, usable and welcomed by future users, while remaining faithful to the scientific evidence for effective skills and effective skill-learning.
The reviews will take place by personal survey, discussion with target users that have been identified in the dissemination phase, using contacts, professional associations, and working with employers as well as staff.
This work takes place during the trials, to encourage realistic evaluation of needs.
