The curriculum will apply the standards for effective training, skill acquisition and application of skills at work that were published in the Training Design Guide that resulted from the LdV project TRAVORS. The Guide  includes objective criteria, based on previous research evidence, for the methods that enable learners to acquire new skills and apply them at work. VRC will review and update the Guide and produce a training Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) to be used in designing the trials. The QAF will be discussed with partners to ensure that it is achieving the goal of supporting effective training design.

Each partner will produce a plan for the training trials that will be measured against Quality Assessment Framework, and VRC will help each in the production of a detailed delivery plan/schedule for the trials. This work will also lead to a refinement and accurate definition of the training that will be given to partners by VRC in the CI short term teaching event.
