Project
GO! – Promoting Career Guidance for Disadvantaged Groups: Lessons Learned and a Step Forward

Type: LLP-ERASMUS

Period:
31 May 2022 - 31 May 2024

Career advisers play a valuable role in the life of individuals who seek guidance for their future. It is even more important for disadvantaged groups seeking improvement of their employability and facilitation of their inclusion in both the labor market and society. A career adviser will assist other individuals in making realistic choices regarding their education, training, and career by helping them obtain the necessary knowledge, information, skills, and experience. Additionally, disadvantaged groups require more targeted guidance for their future career planning. These groups might include unemployed individuals, NEETS, migrants, refugees, economically inactive women, prisoners, ex-prisoners, etc. GO! aims to deliver a one-stop shop that will consist of different tools regarding career advising with an emphasis on disadvantaged groups. The one-stop shop will be a useful means for all career advisers, members of disadvantaged groups, and policy makers who seek to develop new policies.

The objectives of the project are:

  • To develop a one-stop shop that will present projects considered good practices in the area of career advising for disadvantaged groups
  • The one-stop shop will present practices and tools using different classifications to make it easy for career advisers to find the tools most applicable to them
  • To develop an awareness of the one-stop shop for career advisers and disadvantaged groups
  • To enhance the skills and knowledge of career advisers working with disadvantaged groups, which will lead to improved services provided by them
  • To facilitate the inclusion of disadvantaged groups in the labour market and the society through the provision of better career guidance services by advisers who will use the platform
