Project
O5: EntreChallenges [Entre-Cha]

Type: LLP-ERASMUS
Parent: E-minds

Period:
1 May 2018 - 12 Jun 2020

ENTRE-CHA is a series of experiential challenges that will be used to further develop the ENTRECOMP competences.  More specifically 5 different challenges will be developed 4 targeting the higher education (aligned with EQF Level 6) & 1targeting VET (aligned with EQF Level 5). Although the thematic areas of the projects will be decided during the implementation of the project (it is noted here that as the teams include members from different disciplines) the consortium will take into consideration these disciplines when designing these challenges. Challenges could deal with an environmental issue, with the design of a new robot, or the development of a town, or the housing of homeless Input from the industry is taken into consideration when designing the challenges.

For each challenge the following will be presented
- the background information of the challenge (when, why, how)
- the challenge it self (why is it a challenge, what is the impact, any previous attempts to resolve it, what was the results etc)
- the stakeholders involved  (who does the challenge affect,  who is causing this challenge etc)
-any other information that is deemed necessary
Challenges will be implemented in 5 DISTINCT STAGES.
-INTRODUCTION:  During this stage the members of the team & the mentors will be met electronically. The team needs to find out each other’s strengths & weaknesses (also with reference to the results of the assessment tool).
-LEARNING ACTIVITY 1:  During this stage of the project the team will meet in a learning activity. The objective of this learning mobility is twofold. On one hand the students (higher & VET) will be trained in different areas so that they can proceed with their challenge.  On the other hand this is the first chance they have to work together on their challenge as team. The first learning activity will be completed with the finalisation of the idea to be applied & the set up of short & long term goals.
-REMOTE TEAM WORKING This stage will follow the first learning activity. Tasks will be assigned to members of the teams to work on their own. During this stage there will be regular online meetings. Members of the team will be supported by their mentors.
-LEARNING ACTIVITY 2: The teams get together for a second time. At this stage of the project the teams get together one more time. They should be now able to work & complete their challenge.
- PROJECT COMPLETION:  Through remote cooperation the challenges results will be fine tuned by students. At this stage students will work for the presentation of the results of their challenges in event E6.

The teams participating in EntreChallenges will be asked to develop a video from their journey towards the development of the project that will be presented during the final competition.

For each of the stages, A SET OF ACTIVITIES developed will be presented. Some of these activities will be challenge specific & some will be common for all challenges. The aim of the activities will be to develop the 15 competences of EntreComp while at the same to resolve the challenge. 5 to 10 activities will be designed for each stage. Below you can see some examples although these activities can only be thoroughly designed once the challenges are designed (especially for those that are challenge specific).

STAGE 2 LEARNING ACTIVITY 1
Activity 2.1 Short workshop on brainstorming
Activity 2.2 Use brainstorming technique to identify possible ideas to resolve your challenge

- This IO will in fact be 5 different booklets for  5 different challenges. (Each member of each  team will receive their own booklet) Each booklet will present the description of the project & the activities the students need to follow.
- At the end of each stage a reflection workshop will take place for students to share & reflect upon their learning experiences.  These experiences will be recorded in the booklet (a special section will be provided for recording  reflection
