Project
O1: Key Competences and respective learning outcomes for the Entrepreneurial Mindset in Europe

Type: LLP-ERASMUS
Parent: E-minds

Period:
4 Sep 2017 - 10 May 2018

The current intellectual output is a validation report of EntreComp presenting also detailed analysis of the descriptors of EntreComp into learning outcomes.

EntreComp defines entrepreneurship as a transversal competence, which applies to all spheres of life: from nurturing personal development, to actively participating in society, to (re)entering the job market as an employee or as a self-employed person, and also to starting up ventures (cultural, social or commercial).  The EntreComp Competence is made of 3 areas and 15 competences. EntreComp is available at http://publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu/repository/bitstream/JRC101581/lfna27939enn.pdf

The three areas and the respective competences are
-IDEAS AND OPPORTUNITIES (Spotting Opportunities, Creativity, Vision, Valuing ideas, Ethical and sustainable thinking)
- RESOURCES (Self awarenesss and self efficacy, Motivation and perseverance,  Mobilising resources, Financial and economic literacy,  Mobilising others)
- INTO ACTION (Taking the initiative, Planning and management, Coping with uncertainty,  Working with others, Learning through experience)
For each of the competences the framework presents hints and descriptors
It is noted that ENTRECOMP has been launched recently and has not yet been validated. No learning materials have been found that are based on EntreComp (especially for HE students)

This project aims to use EntreComp Framework as the basis for the development of the competences of higher education students and VET students. Before using EntreComp the project aims to:
- proceed to some form of validation of the framework to ensure that whatever is included in the framework are indeed the key competences needed (mostly to ensure that there are no other competences that should be noted ).
- focus on the descriptors provided (3 descriptors per competence) and ensure that this are describing adequately the competence.
- analyse the competence into learning outcomes to be used later on for the description of the materials  (see intellectual output 3,5)

The final form of this output will present:
- An executive summary for the output
- The aims and objectives of the output
- A detailed description of the methodology used
-  the EntreComp Framework clearly indicating modifications or additions
- All the competences of the frameowork analysed in learning outcomes
