Type: LLP-ERASMUS
Parent: Intellectual Outputs

Period:
9 Nov 2015 - 31 Jul 2018

This set of guidelines will present in a practical and detailed way the steps for the development of a certified qualification in EQF level  for any non regulated profession.

The target group of the guide are VET stakeholders and decision makers responsible for the recognition of qualifications.

The guide will take into account the following:

  1. The comparative reports on the situation of the countries in EQF and ECVET  (O1)
  2. The comparative review of different ECVET methodologies (Comparative Review of existing methodologies used for ECVET)
  3. The experience from the current project

The aim of this guide is NOT just to describe what is happening in each of the countries and what methodologies different projects have used. The objective is TO IDENTIFY BEST PRACTICES in the procedure for the development of a qualification for non regulated professions and for validating formal, non formal and informal learning. The  development of the guide will start from the beginning of the process on how to design a qualification framework and best practices in each step will be recorded as the process progresses.

Of course identification of best practices can only be done in a scientific and systematic way involving probably the following steps:

  1. Formulate the research question
  2. Gather preliminary information
  3. Interview selected people (national working groups of coordinating points)
  4. Identify the indicators that make a practice, a BEST PRACTICE (accuracy, causing the multiplication event, publicity, welcomed by all stakeholders)
  5. Develop a tool for evaluating each best practice against all indicators
  6. Based on the tool identify and classify the practices
